Melissa Mo, OT

Founder/Owner

With a dedication to pediatric occupational therapy, Melissa has always prioritized the needs of the child in her approach. By integrating a deep understanding of each child's strengths and challenges, she ensures that therapeutic interventions are both effective and individualized.

As the founder of Inspire Therapy Services Inc, Melissa brings over 17 years of experience working in diverse settings across urban and rural Alberta, from schools and hospitals to community centers and homes. One of her early specializations has been early intervention, particularly in addressing intricate feeding challenges. Through rigorous training and hands-on experience, Melissa has developed therapeutic feeding programs that have been beneficial to individual children and groups alike.

Beyond feeding-related challenges, Melissa's expertise covers a wide range of areas, including assessment and intervention for children and adolescents aged 2-17. She addresses areas such as adaptive functioning, fine motor skills, visual perceptual skills, play skills, behavioral guidance, sensory processing, focus and attention, and emotional regulation.

Melissa's experience extends to working with conditions including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Developmental delays, Genetic Disorders, Sensory Processing Difficulties, and Anxiety, among others. She offers in-depth consultation services for educational institutions and families to further support a child's development. Additionally, she offers her expertise to OT Corner at communakit
